Chelsey& Jesse
A quiet, unhurried ceremony at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Forty guests, a long, slow afternoon, and the kind of room that holds itself.
The Royal Botanic Gardens hold a particular kind of stillness in the hour before they open to the public, and Chelsey and Jesse wanted that stillness for the start of their day. We met them just past sunrise, the lawn still wet, and filmed the slow first moments — the kind that don't make highlight reels but anchor the whole film.
We just wanted it to feel like us. No theatre — just the people we love in a place we love.
— Chelsey, the morning of the wedding
What we'll remember is how completely the room held them. Forty guests, no formal split between sides, every speech short and personal. Jesse's brother spoke twice — once at the ceremony, once at dinner — and made the same room cry both times.
